almond orchard inspiration shoot
For a very limited window of just a couple weeks, the almond orchards in the California central valley bloom with a stunning display of millions of tiny white flowers. The first time I saw the orchards, they took my breath away. I think I actually squealed with delight as I reached the outskirts of Bakersfield and spotted the first few brilliant lines of blooming almond trees. I knew this gorgeousness meant the inspiration shoot I’d planned with Vanessa Noel Events would have an incredible backdrop to work with.
Style Me Pretty ‘s regional California blog featured the shoot this summer. Vanessa and I were so happy with the outcome of our hard work as well as the showcase on SMP. I’m always asked where this lovely setting exists, and everyone is incredulous when they learn it’s near Bakersfield. True story!
Here’s the link to the feature on SMP California (though I’ve listed SO MANY photos here that you’re pretty much covered). :)
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to the vendors who contributed to the shoot!
