For their late summer wedding, Brittany and Rhett wanted to create a getaway that would bring their family and friends together for a whole weekend, not just one day. Brittany’s aunt’s homestead in western Colorado, just outside Monument National Park, was a serene and picturesque setting for their design-centric, love-filled wedding day.
A color palette of muted blues, grey, amethyst, and blush meshed well with metallic copper touches (the bride worked closely with Vanessa Noel Events to bring eclectic decor ideas to life). The groom built a copper pipe structure for the couple’s ceremony chuppah (adorned with air plants). Their modernly bohemian “picnic” ceremony featured vintage-style rugs scattered on the lawn, and guests were greeted with individual charcuterie boards and champagne to enjoy throughout the ceremony.
I was completely smitten by all the fun details at this wedding and had a BLAST playing with the gorgeous stationery, signage, and custom wedding logo (thank you, Prim & Pixie, as usual) and vibrant florals and greenery (Vanessa nailed it with floral design, too!). I’m also a sucker for an emotional groom (I make no secret of this), so when Rhett got a little choked up while reading his vows, I melted a little.
Part two, with all the pretty reception details, is coming soon!
