Marfa workshop

Earlier this year, in April, I took a creative getaway to Marfa, Texas to attend the four-day workshop of destination wedding photographer Clayton Austin.

Clayton arranged for some truly stunning desert wedding inspiration for us to photograph for the styled shoot portion of the workshop. His inspiration was borne of the African Citrus Butterfly, pictured here:

Clayton also made the bouquet, wedding cake, and the dress (the dress!) himself. His incredible ideas are brought to fruition with immaculate attention to detail; it was truly an honor to photograph his creations!

Here are some of my favorite photos from our shoot (a mix of digital, 35mm, and medium-format film).
