Wedding planning: Our engagement photos

Choosing a photographer for my own wedding has easily been one of the biggest planning challenges so far. But while I struggled with who might be the best fit for me and Jeremy for capturing our wedding day memories, I asked my good friends Maddy and Felicia of I Heart Creative to do some engagement photos of us! I really wanted to commemorate this incredibly special time in our relationship, and these wonderful besties of mine knocked it out of the park; we had so much fun, AND they surprised us with an engagement video, too — check it out at the end of the post!

We headed to Lizard’s Mouth in the Santa Ynez Mountains, just north of Santa Barbara, for a springtime sunset session. Such a cool spot for an engagement session in Santa Barbara County!

Many, many thanks to Jenny at Blushing Beauty for doing my hair and makeup, and Amy at Stella Bloom Designs for making me a gorgeous engagement bouquet (embellished with some gold botanical silk ribbon from Silk & Willow). And I LOVED my velvet wrap dress from BHLDN!

You can also read about how we got engaged in New Orleans right over here. :)
