Our Lady of Mount Carmel wedding

Lucy and Dane, like so many other couples planning their celebration in 2020, had to postpone their June wedding reception due to COVID-19. They still wanted to make it official and honor their original date, so they invited just a few guests to their intimate Our Lady of Mount Carmel wedding ceremony in Montecito.

The lovebirds both went to UC Santa Barbara, but didn’t actually meet until after college, when they were both living in San Francisco. Their first date was SO sweet; Dane took Lucy to the De Young Museum in Golden Gate Park (because he knew of her love for art history). They followed their museum visit with ice cream and a stroll at Alamo Square Park, and that sunny Sunday with Dane is still one of Lucy’s favorite memories from the early days of their relationship.

They wanted their wedding day to feel natural and unfussy; the simple elegance of their Montecito wedding ceremony was perfect for them! Lucy’s cathedral-length lace veil is a family heirloom, and the bride arrived at the church escorted by her father and grandfather in a Ford Model A (which also served as the getaway car for Lucy and Dane following the ceremony).

We’re looking forward to celebrating with them for their 2021 reception; in the meantime, a few favorites from their beautiful Our Lady of Mount Carmel wedding ceremony!
